We have another 14+ inches of the white stuff headed our way starting later on tonight. I haven’t looked at how much snow we’ve been hit with this year, but for sure, it has been more than last year. I had an appointment scheduled for some follow-up lab work tomorrow, but now, with this storm, I have rescheduled it for next week. There is no sense for me to be out in the storm if I can avoid it.
Hubs and his good sister received a group text from their nasty sister yesterday. She sent a copy of the tax statement and then said a tree had fallen in MIL’s house. The text went on to say something about a $1,000 deductible and that a tree guy would remove the tree from the roof. So, did the tree fall in the house or on the house? That was the question Hubs then directly asked his good sister. Why not ask the nasty sister? Pretty much no point since, other than to let him know about bills, she won’t communicate with him.
Strange and very unusual, but Hubs received zero replies from his good sister. Hubs tried reaching her again today and even tried her home phone. The weather shows storms in her area, so we hope that perhaps her phone is just out. Hubs is planning on calling her kids to see if they know anything. Right now, the concern is more for the good sister than what is going on with the estate.
Speaking of these two sisters, we didn’t hear anything from the nasty one on Christmas. Not that we expected to, nor did we make an effort to communicate with her. We did hear from the good sister, and she even sent me a very thoughtful card for my birthday, which falls at the same time. The good sister has a large family, so she could also be super busy with them.
My first item for my self-imposed Too Much Stuff Challenge is a travel mug. We never use this mug because it doesn’t keep coffee hot. Only 74 more items to go!

Hope good sister is ok. I threw out my old (like 15-20 year old) winter boots today. They aren’t warm and they leak. Felt good to throw them out. I almost went and put them in my closet…..for what reason, I do not know – but then shook myself ouf of that thought.

The good SIL is fine, just has trouble with technology! Kudos for throwing out those boots. You definitely got plenty of use out of them! No sense in having them take up space in a closet.
