Today we sold our summer car. We sold it directly to the same guy who sold our 5th wheel for us a few years ago. While we could have gotten more selling it on our own, I’m thankful not to have the hassle. We would have done this months ago, but then all this COVID stuff got in the way. For a vehicle nine years old, it was in excellent shape. Of course, it helped that we didn’t (couldn’t) drive it on snowy roads, and we stored it in our garage. Along with the check, I’m happy to gain some desperately needed garage space.
As for the money we got for the car, we are going to save it. We do have some ideas, but what we do with it will ultimately depend on Hub’s job. Speaking of which, Hubs did talk to a coworker who was in on a conference call he missed, and it looks like they are okay until December. Work has been picking up, so I’m choosing to take that as a good sign.
We did have a mini-budget meeting and, for the time being, are going to focus on adding more to our savings. 2020 has been a crazy year, and I’ve had a tough time finding a balance between wanting to pay more on our house and wanting to keep more money in the bank. Given everything that is going on in our country, I also realize we are blessed to be in the position we are.
As for those ideas, stay tuned! 🙂

That seems like a really hassle/stress free way to sell a car.

It really is. If Hubs were home more, we likely would have sold it on our own. Living in such a secluded area, I just don’t like (or want) strangers coming to our house.
