The statement for our Visa came via email during the night. The minimum payment is $78. The interest charged was $26.78. I’ve gone ahead and scheduled a payment for tomorrow for $126.74. That will more than take care of the minimum and also cover the interest. Balance goes down to $3,500!
I want to finish the month strong and send in another payment on Monday (last day of the month) but need to wait and see how much Hub’s check brings in. I’m hoping we can swing another $200 to bring the balance down to $3,300. Getting to this number would also mean we would “only” need to come up with $1,100 for each of the next three months to meet our goal of getting debt-free (except for the house) by the end of the year ~ not that I’m opposed to reaching the goal sooner!
It is happening. We are almost to the end of this leg of our journey!

Could NOT be happier for you – we won’t be debt free like you, but how fun that we will both be paying off our Visas by the end of the year!! We can have a cyber-party 🙂
