Plugging Away
I’m still here and still plugging away at our darned debt. There hasn’t been a lot going on, hence the lack of posts. I did manage to send another $450 to our furnace debt, bringing the balance down to $4,900. No change with our Visa as the billing cycle doesn’t close for another week or so. Update Time 4/30/2019
We are at the end of the month, so I feel that I should give an official update. For those who have been following along, you already know we paid off the remaining $2,500 owed to Citi. So not to confuse, $2,500 was our starting balance for April. For good measure, I checked to make sure our final payment posted. Balance is a zero. What a beautiful thing! So how about the rest? Time for some good news!
Lately, I feel like most of my posts are all gloom and doom. But, right now, I do have some good news! As of this coming Monday, Citi will be paid off in full! I wasn’t sure whether or not we’d be able to pull it off. But thanks to Hub’s having a bigger check than anticipated, we will. For good measure, I’m even sending an extra $25 towards paying off our furnace. That way I can now officially say that is the new target of our snowball. Redirected Flight, Redirected Plans
Guess who didn’t make it home yesterday? Hubs. Guess who is still home? Me. So much for making plans. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had her own ideas, which included a nasty storm.
