Yes, I am moving and changing my name…er, I mean my blog is!
So, when I first started The Line has been Drawn, I really didn’t know exactly where it would go. All I knew was that I was finally completely ready to get out of debt once and for all and while doing so, share my journey with the world. Having started two other blogs before and subsequently ended them, I wanted to be absolutely sure that this time was it. One of my other blogs was about what it is like having a “work-away-from-home husband.” That ended mostly because I ran out of fresh material to write about. I felt like it had reached a dead end. My other blog was supposed to my journey about getting out of debt. Problem though was my husband and I weren’t quite yet on the same page. Not to say that you can’t go it alone, because I know others have done it. Ultimately that combined with far too many other distractions in my life (selling a house, moving over 400 miles away, new jobs, health issues, etc) I just had far too much going on to remain focused.
I have now been blogging faithfully for just shy of two months. Today in fact, marks my 57th published post. Crazy, huh? So why change my blog address and name now? Actually there are several reasons: I have saved enough of my “blow money” to again pay for hosting, I still own the domain name of my other blog (both of them), I still own my own theme, I feel that a new address will give me more options to customize my blog and last but certainly not least, I feel my other name is more fitting as to how about I feel about this journey and it will also grow with me as our financial outlook changes.
While my blog address and name will change, one thing will not. I will continue to share my journey with you just as I have here on The Line has been Drawn. The one thing I am not 100% sure on is exactly how this move will work. If all goes as planned (and does anything really?) all my posts will be transferred to my new address so nothing is missed. You *should* be able to follow along just as you always have. Admittedly I’m not the most tech savvy when it comes to this kind of thing. Having not used WordPress in quite some time, I will also have some refreshing to do in that area as well. Thank goodness for YouTube!
So, what is this mystery name and when will the change take place? My new updated blog is A Dime at a Time(.com). I had originally purchased this domain because that is how I felt we would be digging out of our mess and saving for our future…a dime at a time! My goal is to make this move within a few days, if not sooner. I’ve installed wordpress and added my theme. Now it is a matter of moving the content along with a whole lot of other little stuff. So please, if I happen to royally mess this move up, please come visit me there. I can’t provide a link as the site isn’t yet live, but at least you’ll know where to find me! For those still on blogger, no worries, we will still remain good friends as I want to continue to follow your journey as well. That is the beauty of the Internet. It eliminates the distance factor.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
