Because sometimes we could all use a little motivation.
Week #5 is here! Last week I earned $53.88 via Amazon Mturks, bringing our savings to $178.59.
Unfortunately, I’m doubtful I’ll see a big number next week. Between Hubs being home for the week and processing the changes going on with my dad, I’m not going to stress over things. Over the weekend, my dad had numerous falls, one of which had him needing staples to the back of his head. He is declining fast, now even needing assistance with eating. I am currently waiting on a call from hospice.
Just today, my brother recommended I work on writing the obituary. Along with being the health DPOA, I am also named as the funeral representative, so this is my responsibility. As of right now, I have 90% of this accomplished. My dad was many things, including a writer. I can only hope that what I have written so far makes him proud.
I still plan on heading downstate next week. There was some debate as to whether I should come sooner, but my brother said to keep things as planned. Should there be a significant change, I can head out on a moment’s notice.

I’m so sorry about your dad – that has to be so hard! Great job on earning the extra money – we got an extra $42 from an overage on our escrow account and have enough so far for a $5 Swagbucks gift card, but will hopefully earn enough for a $25 one by the end of the month.

Thanks, Sue! Nice to receive an overage from excrow! Good job earning extra!

It is so hard to lose a parent. I wrote and delivered the eulogy for my Mother’s funeral. It was loving and personal! I also gathered many photos from Mom’s life that we displayed at the funeral home the evening before the funeral. I highly recommend this! Most funeral homes have display boards on easels for this. It was a wonderful tribute. (I think I did 11 boards of different categories, making sure to label everything–childhood, early marriage etc.) The funeral director also brought these photos to display at the church the next morning and then moved them to the fellowship hall for our luncheon. My siblings and the 24 grands loved it.

It is hard. My SIL is working on the pictures, so when the time comes, we are far better prepared. I’m not so sure I could deliver the eulogy as I know I’d be far too emotional.
