Ever have a day where you feel annoyed for stupid reasons? It is things that aren’t life-changing or even earth-shattering. Today is one of those days for me. In general, I try to keep my blog upbeat, because hey, who in their right mind would want to read about someone else’s annoyances? But since you are already here, don’t say I didn’t warn you! Read at your own risk!
Annoyance # 1. The darn geese keep crapping all over my yard. It has now become so out of control that I googled for solutions. I’m going to try the cheapest anti-geese method first and try running a kite string along the shoreline. Mental note – next trip to town, buy some string.
Annoyance # 2. It’s garbage day AGAIN! In the winter months, I can get away with only taking it every two weeks or so. This time of year, nope. It gets way too smelly! I never let trash pile up in the house. It’s just getting it from the garage out to the road that I dislike doing. I know – pretty stupid annoyance.
Annoyance # 3. I did a little blog skimming over at Blogging Away Debt only to discover that one of their bloggers took on a new $21K car debt. I really shouldn’t take that blog so seriously, but with a name like that, shouldn’t it be about getting out of debt? 🤦♀️ I feel that the blog is almost an insult to those of us who are genuinely trying to dig our way out of our messes. When it comes to getting out of debt blogs, I obviously need some new reading material! Please feel free to make any suggestions you might have.
Annoyance # 4. My Amazon sales have been in the toilet for several days. Every seller goes through this. It can be feast or famine. I just don’t like the latter! I have a shipment ready to go out the next time I’m in town. Hopefully, that will get things moving again.
Annoyance # 5. This one is the biggie. Today is Hub’s and my anniversary and Hubs isn’t home to share the day. Such is life. It isn’t the first one he has missed, and he is doing what he needs to do support our family. We still have yet to use the gift card I received at Christmas for a nearby restaurant, so we will put that on our list of things to do when he comes home. The very fact that we haven’t used it shows how little we do eat out!
So there you have it. I guess in all reality; I don’t have too much to complain about. We keep plugging along in life and with our journey to get out of debt. And to end on a positive note, I even managed to earn $1.60 on M-Turks. My fellow Turkers will know that for a weekend day ~ that right there is an accomplishment! 🙂

If you read the replies from the post about the blogger taking on all the debt most couldn’t believe. Seems to me most don’t want to do without and explain why they need to buy stuff. That $21,000 car is going to go to her 15 year old to drive and the kid needs to get a job to help pay for it. Why would anyone give a kid an expensive car when they have little experience driving.

Wowza! I was in such disbelief that I only skimmed the post. Talk about crazy, both taking on that kind of debt and letting it go to her 15-year-old. Even if we didn’t have debt, I still wouldn’t buy a $21K car, let alone buy one for a kid who isn’t even driving yet. I’m happy to hear that most of the comments she received were less than positive. No sense in condoning her actions. While there may be times when a need does arise (I put our furnace in that category) there is a HUGE difference between needs and wants. Sounds more to me that the blogger wanted a new car. There are plenty of used cars for a whole lot cheaper. Mind-blowing that she justified the purchase.

This was the PERFECT read for me today since EVERYTHING is irritating me :). I’m so, so, so sick of sitting on this couch in this house I could just spit. I’m still at the point where I wish I had never had the surgery (yes….I know in a few weeks I will feel differently but right now, a week out, I wish I’d never done it….)
Anyways…..at least I got dh & ds to sit down with me and plan a menu. Dh goes back to work tomorrow after being home with me for a week and obviously I can’t cook, and none of us want them to come home at 6:30 and every going “what do you want for dinner”, “I don’t know, what do YOU want for dinner”….it is like an Abbott and Costello skit. We didn’t set up specific days, just did meals that will take us to the end of the month. I’m hoping we can keep up with this, but I’ll see how the first 2 weeks go first 🙂
You would not BELEIVE the number of times we have had to call home for kids to get a change of clothes because they were running out on the field at school and fell…..there are hundreds of Canadian geese that eat out of the field at school and believe me when I say I know how much crap you are talking about!!!!!
Happy Anniversary – it is funny how everyone celebrates differently – ours was on the 6th and both of us forgot….oops. You & hubs just go out for a nice meal when he gets home – the day itself doesn’t matter, just the love behind it 🙂

Thank you for being a willing participant with listening to my annoyances! Haha! For sure, you have far more justifiable reasons to be annoyed than I do! Hang in there. In no time you will be back to getting around even better than before.
Dinner. Not something I like to do either. I think you are wise to do some meal planning as it also helps curb the urge to eat out or get takeout. I’d probably throw in a back up plan for days that don’t work out as expected.
I can only imagine kids running around a field where the geese like to hangout. Nasty! I’m picking up string today. This is a crisis! Lol
Happy belated anniversary. Other than the milestone years, we don’t always do a lot either. Because we get so little time together, most times just being together is celebration enough.

ok, sorry if I chuckled at your #1 and #2 annoyances…I managed to earn a $1 yesterday on M-Turk. I get it, haha. Happy Anniversary to you. I’m sure that is a common thing for you since he travels for work. I have a friend who’s hubby is home 2 weeks and gone 2 weeks. She’s had to learn to live with that schedule, too.

My neighbor called to say she is going to town today. I’m tagging along ~ mostly so I can get some string! Every day that goes by means more poop to scoop. I could easily have added a second step to annoyance # 2, and that is retrieving the empty can. Lol Kind of dumb as it takes me all of 5 minutes! As for M-Turks, a buck is a buck! Good for you for earning something! After this many years of having Hubs gone for lengthy periods of time, I am used to it. Definitely has both pros and cons!
